Overview of the role

CSBC’s Design & Advisory team’s primary responsibilities are:

  1. Behavioural Diagnostics: Using creative research methods, we uncover behavioural barriers, motivators and social norms around specific challenges related to marginalisation and/or poverty. Sometimes, we study individuals within households; other times, we study individuals with government structures that provide services to citizens.
  2. Behavioural Design: We use our knowledge of behavioural insights, behaviour change, and design thinking to solve challenges across multiple policy areas. Sometimes, our design process follows a complete diagnostic study; other times, we jump right into the Design phase.
  3. Behavioural Advisory: We leverage existing literature and behaviour science knowledge to advise our partners for rapid solutions of problem statements.

The Programme Manager – Design & Advisory would lead diagnostic and design projects across health, nutrition, education, sanitation, financial inclusion, etc.
